Thing 1

Noting a title for my first entry sounds rather like I just finished reading The Cat in the Hat to my little people. Anyway, I feel like I've accomplished something really big here - the setting up of the actual blog, background, avatar. It took me over two weeks to finally tell myself 'just do it' - and I'll admit, it was kinda fun. I'm sure it took me much longer than most people participating in this project but that's ok. So, now, what to talk about?? The avatar, perhaps. As I look out my window and see the snow swirling off the rooftop, predictions of more to come and below zero temps once again, I decided to place myself in an entirely different climate with my books and sunhat. Nothing compares to being able to sit at the beach with a good book and soothing waves.
